For Lord of the Flies

Question #1 What is the major theme of this novel? why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2008?

The major theme of this book is based on the human being's instinct and the civilization.

Also, the character's instinct shows the savagery of the character. The instinct of living brought the characters to awake their savage feelings toward their friends. I thought this related to the teenagers living in 2008 because the society shows that person needs to be callous to any person for my own benefit. As the book shows, people in the reality actually kill-not the meaning of murder- other person for their own benefit, to get rid of the harm for themselves.
